Van Insurance

Van insurance does not refer to the insurance on the minivan that Mom drives to and from Junior’s soccer games. If Mom wants van insurance on that kind of van, her regular car insurance will do the trick. Rather, van insurance refers to vans that are driven commercially. These vehicles are used to transport materials from one place to another in the daily course of business. Because these vehicles are on the road so much, van insurance is an important commodity. Vehicles that are constantly being driven are far more susceptible to accidents or to breakdown, and van insurance takes that into account. As with regular car insurance, van insurance covers theft of the vehicle and its contents, breakdown, damage to the vehicle and its contents due to accident, liability to the driver if he injures a person or property, and medical expenses or even death benefits to the driver or occupants if they are involved in a mishap. Van insurance covers all these contingencies. Best of all, van insurance is paid for by the business owner, so the van’s occupants get van insurance coverage even if they are only lowly workers.
