Motorcycle Insurance

Motorcycle Insurance - The first thing any sane person would do after buying a motorcycle would be to buy motorcycle insurance. Motorcycle insurance is vital because motorcycles are unstable vehicles that are more likely to be involved in an accident than are four-wheeled conveyances. There are so many ways motorcycles can be involved in accidents – from a pothole that sends the rider flying to an automobile driver that won’t concede his the motorcycle rider his share of the road – that having motorcycle insurance is the only sane way to ride. Motorcycle insurance protects the motorcycle itself, but it also protects the rider. It is a lot easier to replace a motorcycle than to repair the rider, but a rider who is involved in an accident will appreciate motorcycle insurance for either situation. Motorcycle insurance is also helpful because it would cover any liability incurred by the policyholder in the event of a motorcycle accident he or his cycle caused that injured the person or property of others. One caution is that there may be a clause in your motorcycle insurance policy that the policy is only enforceable if the rider and any passengers were wearing helmets at the time of an accident. In the case of theft, of course, motorcycle insurance would still be enforceable even if the thief were helmetless.
