Caravan Insurance
Caravan insurance is a recreational vehicle insurance. Caravan insurance is an automobile insurance policy that covers recreational travel vehicles such as caravans (campers), motor homes, and trailer tents. Although it is important for all drivers to have car insurance, caravan insurance may be of particular benefit because most travel vehicles are not used every day. Drivers may not be able to react to sudden road conditions as quickly in travel vehicles, which are bulkier and harder to control. There are two forms of caravan insurance – touring caravan insurance and static caravan insurance. Touring caravans are vacation travel vehicles, and this form of caravan insurance would cover all the standard aspects of car insurance. However, touring caravan insurance would also provide for travel-related expenses that may be incurred if a travel vehicle breaks down or is involved in an accident far from home. The damaged vehicle may not be livable, so hotel expenses would have to be paid for. In addition, there may be international considerations if the incident occurs in another country. These, too, would be covered by touring caravan insurance. Static caravan insurance is different from its touring counterpart in that many mobile homes are designed to be towed to one place and then kept there as the primary residence of the owner. In this case, caravan insurance would take the form of “static” caravan insurance, which is caravan insurance that is similar to a homeowner's insurance policy. Static caravan insurance covers all the traditional facets of homeowner's insurance policies, plus different facets of homeowner insurance that are unique to mobile homes. This might cover awning replacement or replacement of the home due to normal vehicle depreciation.
