Boat Insurance
Boat Insurance - Boat insurance is almost a necessity for the marine enthusiast. There are three types of boat insurance – fishing boat insurance, pleasure boat insurance, and boat insurance that covers such personal water craft (called PWCs in the industry) as jet skis, homemade boats, or house boats. Policies for boat insurance cover a number of boating-related incidents. In addition to damage or theft, a boat insurance policy might cover water skiing accidents, medical expenses after a marine accident, personal property that is lost if the boat is stolen or sinks, as well as standard collision insurance. If the other boater is at fault in a collision but he is uninsured, an insured party's boat insurance policy may cover damage that would normally be paid by the other boater. Policy riders for boat insurance may provide for towing of the boat – either on land or at sea – if the towing vehicle is disabled or if the boat breaks down. Boat insurance may also cover fuel spills or removal of the wreckage if the watercraft sinks.
